WISH Finance is founded by an international team from New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. The team have a passion for ‘paying it forward’ and giving back, and this directly led to the birth of WISH.
SIMON WILLIAMS
Professional highlights: Simon made his name in the Corporate Relocation Industry back in the 90’s.
Leading a 15-strong team, Simon developed and implemented his own niche Corporate Letting Solution and very early on triumphantly claimed Microsoft and Oracle as his lead clients. Simon spent 14 years looking after international big hitters and their families relocating to the city of London.
In 2016 after a well-earned 3-month break; Simon joined up with 2 previous business partners at London based Data Networks firm SAWTEC. SAWTEC boasts a high-end client base, which include Steve Cohen of Point 72, one of the biggest hedge fund managers in the world and Outernet Global, the world’s first immersive media space in Soho London.
WISH Finance connection: In 2014, Simon scratched an age-old itch and finally signed up for a “Learn to Trade Forex” course with fellow WISH Finance co-founder Paul Botterill’s and a love of all things trading exploded into life. 5 years into an intensive educational programme, Simon met Shukri through Paul and with Shukri’s expert guidance, Simon successfully navigated his way through the 2020/21 Crypto Bull Run.
As a busy resourceful allrounder, Simon is positively fizzing and is really looking forward to helping the team at WISH Finance to make a real difference to as many people as possible.
PAUL BOTTERILL
Professional highlights: Paul spent the first 20 years of his working life buying, operating and selling indoor Sports Arenas in the North Island of New Zealand. This ignited his passion for the sport of Indoor Cricket, and he went on to coach from 1987 -2017 domestically and internationally for New Zealand and Singapore.
When life began at the age of 40, Paul headed off from New Zealand to see the world and he quickly fell into trading. This soon became his main income and Paul loved the freedom that trading provided.
Paul used his coaching abilities to build a top-class trading team and remains a mentor to several fulltime professional traders. He also set up a trading education company in Singapore which he now manages from his base in New Zealand. Paul has worked with a number of professional funds and remains on the investment committee for Morris Capital in Australia.
WISH Finance connection: Paul has always stayed involved with charity organizations. He also personally benefited from them at one point, such as the Ronald McDonald House and the wonderful staff at Starship Children’s hospital in Auckland. It was at the time when Paul and his wife lived-in for a month while their oldest son faced serious health concerns as a baby. Jackson has made a full recovery since then, and WISH Finance gives Paul the opportunity to pay it forward.
ALLISTER GILLAM
Professional highlights: Allister completed both a Bachelor of Management Studies and a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Waikato in 1998. Having been admitted to the bar, Allister practised Law as a commercial solicitor for a leading firm in Hamilton, New Zealand specialising in corporate restructuring, property and business sales, leasing, asset planning and financing.
Allister left legal practice to pursue business and investment interests which have been varied including start-ups, hospitality, manufacturing, importing, logistics, sports entertainment, forestry, property and business consultancy.
Today, Allister is a Professional Director who sits on the board of several privately held companies. He is also active in the New Zealand Business Mentors Programme where he offers advice, at no charge, to entrepreneurs who join the government assisted scheme.
WISH Finance connection: Allister joins the WISH Finance team to lend support with governance and provide compliance oversight. He is excited about the opportunity to bring his wealth of legal and business experience to assist the WISH Finance founders to achieve their goal of making a material difference to the lives of individuals, families and communities in need.
THE SUPPORTING TEAM
Backed by a highly experienced developer team based in Singapore, with a proven track record in the Crypto and DeFi space, who will build and manage the WISH Finance platform and website backend.
WISH Finance is also fully supported by a team of professional advisors and veterans of the Cryptocurrency landscape. They will be assisting and advising on all aspects ranging from: DeFi, process of a Fair launch, charity/worthy causes verification, security and anti-rugpull measures, and most importantly, guidance on running a successful long-term project.
